Sir Francis Drake Channel is a channel in the British Virgin Islands between Tortola and Virgin Gorda, linking the Atlantic Ocean through The Narrows to the Caribbean Sea through the southern island chain. The tide is chiefly diurnal with a small range; the mean range is 0.70 ft (0.21 m) at the nearest reference station, Charlotte Amalie, USVI.
