San Carlos Bay is a bay at the mouth of the Caloosahatchee River on the southwest Florida coast, opening to the Gulf of Mexico between Sanibel Island and Pine Island and leading inland to Fort Myers. The tide is mixed and small, with a mean range of 0.94 ft (0.29 m) at the Fort Myers reference station.
