Galveston Bay Entrance is a bay entrance at Bolivar Roads between the east end of Galveston Island and the south end of Bolivar Peninsula, leading from the Gulf of Mexico into Galveston Bay and the Houston Ship Channel. The tide is predominantly diurnal and small, with a mean range of 1.02 ft (0.31 m) at the Galveston Pier 21 station.
